Last year I began a Code Club at a school in Waltham Forest. it was a rather mixed outcome. It started off well enough but for a couple of reasons could have been so much better. One of those reasons is that I, as a volunteer, could do so much more.

The MIT Scratch Team released version 2 of their Scratch programming software this week, and I am impressed, and also a little disappointed.
This year’s Scratch Day is on Saturday 18th May 2013 (It usually falls on the third Saturday of May each year). I realised this morning, a bit too late, that it might be a good idea to hold a local event in Waltham Forest.
