This is an account of my first session as a Code Club volunteer and STEM Ambassador. Prior to the children’s arrival, I look around the ICT suite. They have plenty of machines and one attached to a whiteboard, from which I will be demonstrating Scratch.
With a Code Club at a local school due to start soon, I downloaded Scratch and started to learn about what it could do.
The official theme according to the dConstruct website was “Playing With The Future”. Perhaps it’s because of my recent interest in ICT and STEM Education, or perhaps simply because of my career, I spotted another theme in all the talks.
