There’s a tech knowledge gap in today’s iPad/iPhone/tablet consumer audience, who’ve grown up with and use technology daily but don’t realise how they actually work.

This could present a problem in future generations, in an age where we’re ever reliant on technology, we could end up with a skills gap on how to make technology work, and how to push future advances in technology.

Cbeebies are looking to plug this gap by planting the seeds early and getting young children interested in how technology works with their new show, Nina and the Neurons: Go Digital.

This is actually part of a much wider programme of shows, on CBeebies and CBBC, aimed at complementing the new school syllabus to get children interested in technology to help digital literacy.

Hopefully, this new generation of clued up kids will help improve the digital literacy of parents.
